What Is the Damn K. Podcast?
Damn K. Interactive Podcast is a comedy style, interactive narrative experience which is aimed towards the Gen Z audience. Framed in a podcast style and setting, the narrative follows two podcast hosts, Daniel K and Marlin, and the guest who is played by the user.
What makes Damn K Podcast different is its branching, multi timeline structure with each timeline being completely different to the rest. As the narrative progresses, the user’s choices influence the direction of the conversation which will lead to alternate storylines and endings and offers a replayable experience
Blending humor with the theme of chaos, this project captures the unpredictable energy of real podcast culture while giving users control over how different events play out. Whether leaning into absurd comedy, awkward moments or dramatic turns. every interaction shapes a different version of the narrative.
Mateusz Chorchel
Role: Writing + Directing + Animation Mateusz's main role in this interactive experience was writing and directing the project. He came up with the script and made sure everything was going well. He also took on some of the animation aswell.
Dylan Farrell
Role: Audio + Animation + Cinematography Dylan’s main roles for this project included cinematography and audio editing. While filming, Dylan was in charge of setting up and deciding camera placements and different angles. Once the clips were all animated and edited, Dylan then worked on the audio correction. Dylan also helped out with the animation.
Meet The Team
Nathan O’Reilly
Role: Video Editing + Animation + Acting Nathan’s main roles within the project were Video Editing and Acting. Once all the clips were animated Nathan took them and put everything together, adding backgrounds and any other edits or corrections needed. Nathan also took on some of the animation
Kian Mackle
Role: Programing + Marketing + Web design Kian’s primary roles for this project were coding, web design and organizing all promotional content. Kian came up with the code for this interactive experience, and once all clips were finalized, he included them in the final project. Kian also took on web design and different promotional aspects like posters, WordPress site etc.
